How to pass the Standard 50K

• Profit target: $3,000 (6% of 50K)

After you pass, you choose an Express Funded path:

• Standard Path: no funded consistency rule. First payout needs 5 winning days of $150+.
• Consistency Path: 40% funded consistency. First payout needs 3 days that meet that rule.

Firm-wide rules:

• Evaluation (Trading Combine): at least 2 trading days, tied to the 50% consistency score.
• News trading: allowed with no listed restrictions in evaluation and funded stages. Do not exploit news events.
• Copy trading: only between accounts in the same environment (Combine ↔ Express Funded). Live Funded Accounts cannot use the trade copier.
• Automated strategies / EAs: allowed if you own the setup and it complies with the rules. TopstepX automation is via API only. Manipulative or unfair software is prohibited.
• After an Express Funded payout, the maximum loss limit is set to $0. Remaining capital is the most you can lose.
• Express Funded inactivity: place at least one trade every 30 days or the account can close.
• VPN, proxy, TOR, and other identity-masking tools are not permitted.
• Resets: 2 resets per account per calendar day.
• 2% price-limit rule: do not trade a product when it is within 2% of a price limit. Applies at every program level.
• Prohibited: account stacking, intentional account depletion, terms violations, manipulative tools, abnormal market behavior, trading outside market range, news-event exploitation.

Reach the $3,000 profit target without exceeding the $2,000 EOD trailing max loss.

Stay inside the 5 mini / 50 micro contract cap. The Express Funded Scaling Plan can change how many contracts you may trade after you pass.

During the Combine, no single day should make up more than 50% of total profit. That also means you need at least two trading days.

News trading is allowed, but news-event exploitation is prohibited. Do not use a VPN. Do not stack accounts or abuse SIM fills.

• Treating a third-party listing price as Topstep's official checkout terms.
• Mixing Standard Path and Consistency Path payout rules after you are funded. Pick one path and follow only that path.
• Ignoring the 50% Combine consistency rule and trying to pass in a single oversized day.
• Requesting a payout before 5 winning days of $150+ (Standard) or before meeting 40% consistency over 3 days (Consistency Path).
• Letting the account sit 30 days with no Express Funded trade.
• Using a VPN or other identity-masking tool.
• Trading a product within 2% of a price limit.
• Forgetting that after a payout the max loss limit becomes $0.

Plan trades so a normal losing day cannot consume most of the $2,000 EOD trailing max loss.

The profit target is 6% of the account; the max loss is 4%. Size so you can survive a string of losses and still have room to reach the target without one day becoming more than 50% of total profit.
