How to Pass My Funded Futures: Buffer First, Then Get Paid

Builder, Pro, Rapid, and Rapid EOD rules — overnight flatten, consistency caps, and the micro-vs-mini math that keeps a $3,000 target from turning into a $2,000 trailing loss.

My Funded Futures is a one-step futures firm with four families: Builder, Pro, Rapid, and Rapid EOD. The evaluation numbers look friendly — $3,000 on a 50K against a $2,000 trailing max loss — and then the other rules do the killing: overnight flatten at 4:10 PM EST, funded news blackouts on Pro/Rapid, consistency caps, and a payout buffer you still have to clear after you “pass.”

This is the catalog we have on file, then the math, then a copy-paste playbook. Confirm live terms on myfundedfutures.com. Full account pages: My Funded Futures guides.

Sim-funded Pro contract caps step up (50K goes 3→5 minis). Do not mix minis and micros to sneak past the overall size. Overnight holding is not allowed. Auto-flatten at 4:10 PM EST is not a breach — forcing a fill after that can be. Hours: 6:00 PM – 4:10 PM EST. Funded inactivity: one trade every 7 calendar days (Rapid EOD applies that in evaluation too). 2% CME price-limit rule on funded. HFT no. Builder is listed unrestricted on Tier 1 news; Pro / Rapid / Rapid EOD sim-funded must be flat ±2 minutes around T1.

Payouts (the second test). Builder: every 48 hours after the buffer is fully cleared (50K buffer = MLL + $100, so $1,600 or $2,100 depending on the MLL you selected). Pro: every 14 days, buffer $2,100 / $3,100 / $4,600, you may pull up to 60% before the buffer is full. Rapid: first payout 24 hours after the first sim-funded trade if buffer + minimum are met. Rapid EOD 50K: $2,100 buffer, then $500 net between payouts.

Highest-probability math

Same skeleton as any trailing eval: attempts × average ticket, with a consistency ceiling.

On a Rapid EOD 50K the ceiling is brutal. 30% of $3,000 is $900. A $1,200 green day that would be “fine” on Builder can fail the eval on Rapid EOD even if you never tag drawdown. Plan the day stop before the session, not after you are up $1,100.

Path A — micros until the floor is boring

50K, $2,000 max loss:

  • 2 MNQ × 20 pts = $80. 25 attempts.
  • 5 MNQ × 20 pts = $200. 10 attempts.
  • 3 NQ minis (Pro 50K eval cap) × 20 pts = $1,200. One loser and you have $800 left for the rest of the evaluation.

Builder has no listed eval consistency, which tempts people into Path B immediately. That is how Builder evals die: they can pass in one day, so they try, and the trailing floor eats the giveback. Use the extra freedom to take more small days, not one large one. You still need 50% funded consistency later — a $2,400 day on a $3,000 funded run is a payout problem even if the eval already passed.

Path B — one leveraged entry

A 30-point NQ winner on 1 mini is $600. On the Pro 50K cap of 3 minis it is $1,800. That single trade is 60% of a $3,000 target — illegal on Pro/Rapid eval (50% cap) and illegal on Rapid EOD (30% cap). It is only legal on Builder eval, and even there the EOD trail will have climbed with you. Give back 40 points on 3 minis the same afternoon and the “pass” is a fail.

Rule: Path B is one A+ trade, same dollar stop as your micros, and only after a buffer of a few hundred. If the mini stop hits, you do not size up to “get it back.” You go back to 2 MNQ.

Creative ways that fit this firm

1. Flatten is a feature. You cannot hold overnight. Stop pretending the afternoon is a swing. If you are not a close-to-cash trader, your window is 9:45–11:00 ET or 1:30–3:50 ET, and you are flat by 4:00, not 4:09.

2. Ticket the 30% / 50% cap. Rapid EOD: hard day stop at $700. Pro/Rapid eval: hard day stop at $1,000. Builder eval: still stop at $1,000 so funded 50% does not become a surprise.

3. Do not combine 2 minis + 20 micros. The platform may fill it. The rules still call it a breach. Pick a denomination and stay in it.

4. News is a program switch. Builder: no T1 lockout listed — still no straddle. Pro/Rapid funded: the ±2 minute T1 window is a flatten, not a “tight stop.” A stop in the spread during CPI is how trailing drawdown prints.

5. Buffer is the real funded target. Passing Builder 50K at $3,001 and requesting a payout at $3,050 is how people get told no. Clear MLL + $100 first, then the $500 net (or $250 on 25K) above it.

6. Rapid EOD inactivity in the eval. One trade every 7 days. A “I’ll wait for next week’s FOMC” pause can close the combine.

7. Price-limit products. If NQ is within 2% of a limit, you sit. That is a funded rule, not a suggestion.

Worked Rapid EOD 50K

Target $3,000. Max loss $2,000. Consistency 30%. Cap 3 minis / 30 micros. One-time price on our listing.

  • Size: 3–6 MNQ, dollar stop $90–$150.
  • Attempts: 13–22.
  • Day stop: two losses or +$600 (well under $900).
  • Shape: five to eight days. A $1,000 day is a fail even if you never draw down.
  • After pass: $2,100 buffer before the first real payout. Keep micros until that number is in the account, then take $500 tickets.
